This session will address three specific topics: The power of the new national Physical Education Standards and Student Outcomes and their potential impact on your program; the launch of the Active Schools Minnesota “Moving Matters” Tool kit and how it is assisting schools to increase physical activity opportunities; and a description of how we are trying to align physical activity outcomes (fitness testing, physical activity behavior and school policies) with educational outcomes (attendance, behavior and test scores) through the Active Schools Minnesota Pilot Study. NASPE Standards 1-5
