2014 MNAHPERD Conference

Let’s Move in Schools has an exciting project happening in the Fargo/Moorhead area. Dr. Jenny Linker and Dr. Kristen Hetland received a grant to expand the Let’s Move in Schools initiative. Part of this grant included a tri-college agreement to focus on Adopt-A-School. Adopt-A-School: Partnership with MSUM, NDSU, Concordia, the Fargo/Moorhead public Schools, and Community (led by Dakota Medical Foundation) collaborating to create sustainable physical activity for all K-12 students, including persons with disabilities. The goal is to give opportunity for every child to participate in 60 minutes of physical activity every day. Each semester, HPE teacher candidates continue prior projects and/or add to the programming at their adopted school. Within this presentation, the MSUM/NDSU/Concordia students will share their projects with participants.
